Ondine is a Nordic spa tucked between the woods and the Ourthe, an hour and a quarter from Brussels. You come for one thing, and it is already a great deal: doing nothing, perfectly.

Twenty minutes by the fire, in a hammock or under a wool blanket. Count nothing, check nothing. Then start the cycle again, two or three times, until silence.

Every station on the estate was designed for a precise moment in the cycle. You move barefoot, in a robe, at the pace of the water.
Finnish sauna
Pale cedar, a wood stove and a wide window onto the river. Dry, honest heat, punctuated by aufguss rituals at weekends.

Rituals & etiquette
The art of
doing nothing
A few simple customs protect what we value most: the calm. Thank you for looking after it with us.
The whole estate is a silent zone, from the changing room to the river. Whisper if you must, switch your phone off in the changing room; locked cabinets are waiting for it. The only permitted soundtrack: water, wind and fire.
Swimwear is required in every pool and pavilion. A robe, towels and sandals come with every entry. In winter, bring a hat. Head warm, body cold: that is the Nordic secret.
The Ondine experience is for people aged 16 and over, to preserve the contemplative atmosphere of the place. Proof of age may be requested at reception.
The thermal cycle needs time to work: we suggest three hours on site, meaning two or three full cycles. Day entry has no limit, though: arrive as the mist lifts, leave as the light goes.
